The Richmond Metropolitan Authority has hired a new general manager with a background in local government, transportation and finance to lead the regional body into a politically uncertain future.
Angela L. Gray, 46, currently a budget officer for the District of Columbia Department of Transportation, will begin work at the RMA on Feb. 1.
She is a former chief administrative officer in North Adams, Mass.
