There was only one real check on federal power and that was the individual member States in their God-given capacities as Godly "sovereign, free AND independent" entities. Only those who granted or delegated duties and power to the Federal Government could keep, monitor, limit, and maintain control OVER that government. That ability ended in 1865 when the Republic was destroyed by the USA and became a new centralized Nation/Empire after the defeat of the dissenting State Governments.
In all of known history no centralized Nation/Empire EVER reverted to the status of a citizen controlled Republic that even remotely reflected the classical traits of "independence, liberty, and freedom" dedicated to the divinely given human rights of mankind. No Nation or Empire was EVER fixed. Getting a "better president" or Senate will solve nothing of significance due to size and wealth of modern Empires.
The USA is a philosophically VERY divided Empire controlled by the USA (but now Global) Oligarchs almost from the very day the "Republic" was formed. Secession would not necessarily fix the separate and or separated seceded American States.
The States, not even an individual State, can never be fixed without destroying the grip of Jewish banking and bankers in ALL WESTERN nations and republics. Hitler and later Stalin eventually learned this lesson. Stalin's Soviet answer was to give them a separate nation of their own which he did in the southern portion of the Soviet Union . . . Jews had a nation of their own well before the controversial political state of Israel. It is not useful to the current Zionist to recognize this often overlooked nation.
Also the fascism of the industrial oligarchs would have to be broken . . . and then, and only then would the various new smaller North American republics have even a faint change of becoming free and sovereign. Zionism, which is the authoritarian and totalitarian father and mother or modern fascism, would have to be destroyed and there would have to be a return to human rights as designated and defined in the Bible.
